First 30 minutes with OmniLore

Goal: Learn OmniLore by doing, not by reading the plant encyclopedia.

Before you start

1. Open Chat and sign in.
2. Set the top selector to OmniLore (not Quick / Auto).
3. Prefer a new chat for this checklist.

The 30-second story (read once)

> OmniLore is a private AI workspace for teams that need trustworthy answers from approved knowledge — and controlled help with documents, tasks, and internal tools.

Checklist (~30 minutes)

Check off as you go. Skip steps marked optional if your account does not have that feature yet.

1. Grounded product question (5 min) — OmniLore mode

Ask:

What is OmniLore, and show sources?

Then:

What can I do in OmniLore?

Pass: Answers feel grounded (tools/docs), not pure "I think…" invention.
If tools fail: reload Chat once; see STATUS.md / SUPPORT.md.

2. Mode rule (3 min)

Switch to Quick and ask:

What is OmniLore?

Pass: You notice weaker grounding or a redirect toward OmniLore mode.
Switch back to OmniLore for the rest of this checklist.

3. Image once (5 min) — Image mode optional if image plane busy

Switch to Image. Ask for a simple create (or attach a photo and request a light edit).

Pass: You get a result image, a job status, or an honest "queue/unavailable" message — not a silent pretend success.
Return to OmniLore mode when finished.

4. Create one private agent (8 min) — OmniLore mode

Build me a private Second Brain for my Gmail and Drive.
Preview first — I'll say yes when it looks good.

Or:

Create a help desk agent for password and account questions.
Preview first.

Pass: Preview (name · tools · model · private) → you say yes → agent is created.
Then: open Agents in the sidebar → select the agent → new chat.

5. List your agents (2 min)

List my private agents.

Pass: You see the agent you just created (or a clear empty/denied message).

6. One scheduled note (5 min) — optional / gated

Still in OmniLore mode:

Create a daily schedule at 02:00 America/Chicago that leaves me a short workspace note titled "Morning check-in". Return the schedule_id and next_run_at.

Pass: You get a sch_… id and a next run time.
Know: results go under your workspace schedules folder — not a guaranteed Chat popup at 2 AM.

To clean up later:

List my schedules. Cancel schedule sch_… if I just created a test.

7. Developers only — CoTrinity or CodeHub (extra 10 min)

Cursor honesty: Cursor as host usually needs a Cursor account (not issued by OmniLore). CoTrinity itself does not require Cursor Pro.

8. Honesty checkpoint (2 min)

Skim WHAT_OMNILORE_CAN_CANNOT_DO.md and KNOWN_LIMITATIONS.md.

Confirm you understand:

• Not unrestricted public SaaS GA
• Not legal / medical / financial advice
• Not free shell or "all tools for everyone"
• Permissions and queues are intentional
